we celebrated MakAtok birthday today over at Aiman's Cafe. we ordered quite a number of food but all we ask was a medium size of every dish. so we eat to our heart content and that i can see most of us surrender to those extra food. so mum settled the bill. she collected $50 each from my uncles and aunts. but u knw how much does the food costs for a total of 4 tables? $791!! that freaking much! when all we ordered was a medium size dish with average cost of $8-$25. all of us was shocked. we expected the bill to be maximum $500. we were so frustrated cause it's totally not worth the money as the portion is really small. freaking small. we should have eaten at the hotel instead since the price is almost the same. my aunt and mum went to meet up with the owner of the cafe. i followed them. aku pun nk kpo. my aunt was so mad cause they charge us per head and not by the size of the dish that we ordered. even my lil cousins who only ate a little here and there was charged the same price as the adults. they charged $13.80 per head. looking at the portion that they served us, i can tell u that its not worth it. aunt and mum was so mad that they told the owner right to his face "saya cakap tros terang eh.. saya tkkan dtg kat tempat sini lagi. saya makan kat Chai Chee with the same amount but bigger portion." and i said "melampau!" alah aku belen2 jer ckp mcm tuu... i think my frens knw that im the money minded kind of person that every cents matter to me when it comes to paying the bill anywhere and i will talk right straight at that person face if the bill is not right and ask for refund even if its just 10 cents. since today is a happy occassion, they decided to just play along with it. but there's no way im going back there. and im telling u my frens not to go there. kalau blh, aku nk kedai tu lingkup. drg dah blh pergi one wk holiday with that kind of money.
